Saturday 28 August 1574[]

The scene rewinds briefly, we see Keth selling the faerie dragon bodies to the alchemist Kraus for a hefty reward of 385 gold pieces. Kriv organises a lock box with Wellby, planning to leave the Thread there though deciding against it in the end, leaving behind only a note and a carefully placed hair to tell if anyone disturbs the box in his absence. Kriv and Keth make seperate visits to Gof the blacksmith, to retrieve Harolds plaque and a carfeully designed axe made especially for Keth. Rickard replaces his lost boot and Cadence buys some new equipment in the form of a shortbow and a chain shirt.

We see Keth, Kriv and Cadence sitting at a round table. As the three relax in the Goodbarrel, Rickard comes storming down from the rooms above clearly infuriated and throws a note down on the table.

Pops, I know you'll be mad at me for leaving but finish reading before you jump to anything crazy.I met a man, Jovrick who was on his way to the university, he's friends with one of its professors and thinks he could fast track my interview. I've decided that rather than waiting for your return, I'd take a few coin to pay my way there with Jovrick. This way you can save on your own travel and avoid dealing with their administration and all that while you take care of Uncle H. I'll send letter for you once we arrive.

Rickard slams his fists into the table "Kriv, your group, what where they called again? That man we fought? Jovrick seems terribly suspicious". Kriv describes his old colleague Wik to Wellby who confirms a man matching that description leaving with Thom a few days prior. Rickard slams his fists down again, speakin loudly for all of the bar "Listen up people, tomorrow at dawn we head to that capitol. A man has kidnapped my son, and I will get him back. Your food and board will be taken care of, as well as an equal share in whatever we find along the way. Tomorrow at dawn we get my son back".

We see a small male figure approach the party, introducing himself as Knope he promises to help out, if later the party help him in turn discover more out about the 'faceless men' that he encountered on the road from Brookshear.

Sunday 29 August 1574[]

The team and new member Knope meet at dawn in front of the Goodbarrel. After quickly restocking supplies, the party split into two groups to take advantage of their magical Roc that can manifest from their feathered necklace. Keth, Cadence and Knope take horses and head toward the capitol at full pace. Kriv and Rickard however try their best to get comfortable in the talons of the gargantuan red and blue eagle, flying toward Faelund and twice the speed of their companions.

Kriv and Rickard land in the hills just south of the capitol to avoid detection and decide to visit the Temple of Valendar, who are the polar of Jovriest, before heading into the city proper. The two find a small compound, the buildings feature tiled roofs supported by golden archways. The compound has white pebbled walkways and small ferns throughout. Kriv and Rickard spot four men kneeling in front of another man that seems to be instructing the others. The man soon approaches our two adventurers, "Gentlemen, welcome to our temple. I am Father Robern, what brings you to us here today?". Kriv tries to avoid detection as Rickard explains that a man of Jovriest has kidnapped his son. Kriv promises Father Robern that he can lead them to the head mage and help remove the darkness. Robern says that he will consult his peers and send further information via messenger. The two thank Father Robern and head to Krivs favored tavern in the city, the Continental.

Keth, Cadence and Knope get into the city late that night and make it to the meeting place with little trouble.

That night as the team settle in for the night, Keth notices his coin has been taken and replaced with a dead rat. He gathers the team and they begin their midnight investigation. The barkeep recognizes the theft to be the work of "one of them vault rat kids". Cadence remembers spotting a weird looking kid leaving over dinner, she and Keth try to follow the kids trail. Their trail leads to a store room with buckets, mops and mouse crap but no possible exits. Finding a mouse hole in the wall they head to the opposite side ending up in an ally. Here they find a knocked over pail, belt buckle, tuft of hair, and a trail leading from prints where a child was crouching. Knope buys some additional information from the barkeep, learning that the kids being taken care of by 'lade twelve toes' have been seen playing in the sewers and points Knope to an entrance a short walk away.

Our party follow the trail to the entrance and jump in without hesitation. After navigating the darkness and avoiding the questionable water flowing through the underground, we come across a women. She is kneeling, nursing what seems to be a pet rate when the party approaches. She has a narrow face, thinning grey brown hair and dark brown eyes. Keth begins to get rough with the woman, Cadence however encourages a gentler approach. The woman calls out the young boy who sheepishly digs through his many pockets and other hiding places returning all of Keths lost coin. She tells them of a few kids that have gone missing in Jovriest territory and agrees to lead the party to that location another time.

Our party head back to The Continental exhausted after the huge days travel. The scene shifts to Knope, and we see a younger image of the Halfing in the thick of battle, firing arrow after arrow, each hitting a different beast and slaying it with a few shots. Using his size to his advantage, this Halfling can move swiftly through the battlefield firing shots from advantages angles into vital regions of his enemy. We then flash to another battle as we see the roughed up man dart to hide behind a tree as an unseen attacker brings down large numbers of the mans allies.

Monday 30 August 1574[]

The following morning the team meet up to head out, but notice a crowd gathering up the street. A female who appears half-orc is kneeling on stage with guards on every side. She has long black hair and dark blue eyes. On her left shoulder is a detailed geometric tattoo. "This woman has been deemed guilty under the authority of the Marteyn empire. She is guilty of assaulting two men unprovoked, and today she shall receive 12 lashes as punishment for her crimes". Keth tenses his fists holding back the urge to launch his axe into the throat of the guards as the party watch each strike crack against the woman's back. Throughout she remains tough without shrieking in pain or even drawing blood.

Afterwards the party approach and gently offer to buy her breakfast. She reluctantly accepts, introducing herself as Elly, and se wee the entire group set up a table in the Continental before fading away to credits, ending this episode.
